Clothes are made of natural fibers such as cotton which are curled in washing and artifical fibers which are straight in washing.

Is this sentence OK?

I was trying to find a word in the spirit of 'curled'. Cotton clothes need to be ironed after they are washed, don't they? Do they shrink, too?
