Few...than vs. few...as

I seem to have reached an impass as I was writing an analytical essay for a class I'm taking. Is this sentence correct? "...as such, there are few [words] that revive and reverberate the American mission as concepts as 'poverty' and the 'desire for peace'". My concern is the use of the word "as". Is it of correct grammar structure to use "Few that...as" vs. "Few that...than". This is a problem because I like the way that "as" flows but changing it to "...as such, there are few [words] that revive and reverberate the American mission as concepts than 'poverty' and the 'desire for peace'". I'd really like to use "as" for the sake of flow (in context with the previous sentence), but I will use "than" if the grammar is absolutely incorrect.
