I'll try to participate of the choral this year, but the problem is that there are only ten places (or ten vacancies ?) Here the intention is to say that a student wants to participate of the choral of his church, but there are only a few places (or vancancies);
An excellent prize is being offered for or to the best students in this contest. ?
The snow is so beautiful or snow is so beautiful ?

"choral" is the adjective deriving from "choir".
You could have a choral society or a choral group, but generally "choir" is the word to use for a group of people who sing together.
