Few places more ironic about...than

Hi teachers,

Few places are more ironic about Poland's communist past than Przekaski Zakaski Bistro a la Fourchette, a humming vodka bar open 24 hours a day. It recalls simpler times when bars served only shots and snacks like herring with onions and bread.

Can you please tell me what does the sentence say?

Thanks

Hi Clive, hi Avangi,

Every time I see patterns like "few...more...than" and I'm afraid of it, I instantly think of comparison of one thing with another. Because of "more than"

Is there a comparison here, and what is it?

Thanks

Hi,

Consider a simpler example with the same form.

Few people are more intelligent than Tom.

The comparison is between 'few people' and 'Tom'.

Hi Clive,

Thanks for explaining it in an easy way for me.

Can you please check my understanding? (bare with me)

Few people are more intelligent than Tom.

1. Does this statement tell you that "there are still some who are intelligent than Tom"?
2. Is the focus of the sentence on Tom, which means Tom is already very intelligent?

Thanks
