Female Names universally tend to end with a vowel?
I'm a bit of a polyglot, and while I can think of languages where there is not much pattern to be seen, I can't think of a language where male names tend to end with a vowel while female end with a consonant. Is there one? Is the ending of female names with a vowel a universal cultural tendency? If so, what could cause it?
