Felt/Was feeling - I didn't know anything/knew nothing

Hi, teachers.

1) Which of the underscored options would you find more natural?

2) Is the whole dialog natural?

Dialog:

Guy 1 - When did she tell you? (that she wanted a divorce)

Guy 2 - A week ago. She said she hasn't been feeling happy for a long time.

Guy 1 - But is that your fault?

Guy 2 - She also said she sometimes felt like she had three children instead of two.

Guy 1 - Did you know she felt/was feeling that way?

Guy 2 - No. I knew nothing/didn't know anything. I should've seen it.
