Would you say that in casual English, both of these are equally natural?
Dad was shouting at the top of his lungs. I felt so embarrassed in front of my friends.

'embarrassed' sounds more natural to me in that sentence, but only because I've probably heard it more in that context than I've heard 'ashamed'. I'd be embarrassed by the fact that my dad was unable to control himself in front of other people and was making a scene.
I suppose I'd only use 'ashamed' if my dad was shouting at me for something terrible I had done, and this was maybe the f
