Felicitous cast of performers

According Dictionary.com, felicitous means well-suited for the occasion, such as an action, manner or expression.

I have made up the sentence using this adjective below.

Could someone please tell me whether or not I am using it correctly?

Thank you very much.

Your meaning is not clear. I think "felicitous" would be better in something like "Felicitous casting contributed …." I would not use "felicitous cast".
