Feet of wings

Hello..

You can only be encouraged, and help your brothers home.
You are not feeling weary, for you have feet of wings.
******

In the passage above, how would you understand the underlined part?
Feet made of wings?
Or wings in the size of (several) feet?

Top answer

It seems to be poetic language, meaning feet that act like wings in terms of the ease and speed with which they propel one. Outside of a poetic context it would probably appear incorrect. The "wings several feet in size" meaning, while possible in principle, seems too mundane for the general tone here.
