Feelings for someone or towards someone?

hi, i'm the newcomer. It's nice to be here to learn english.

may i ask this thing?

i cant distinguish the difference between 'feelings for someone' and 'feelings towards someone'

and what situation can we use these things. Are they always used to show feelings of a man to a woman or something?

They seem the same meaning to me. They would normally relate to warm, romantic feelings, I think, but I can also imagine that they could be applied to other, non-sexual emotions.
