"I am sorry she is feeling unwell."

I cannot determine here does "unwell" mean "not well" or "sick". Which one is it?

For me they're both the same.

If you feel sick, you don't feel well.
If you feel unwell, you feel sick, or at least as if you are starting to get sick.
