Feel the difference

Do you natives use " feel the difference"

I can really feel the difference. I used to make $5000 now I only make $4000. Our life pace has changed darastically.

I can feel the difference between what I used to make and what I make now, Our life pace has changed darastically.

Can you continue and say "feel the difference BETWEEN" like in sentence 2 or does that not make any sense?

Is "life pace" the word to use?

Thank you

Yes, it can be used, although I think "tell the difference" would be better. Also I'm confused, there is no like? And drastically
