Feel like

Is "feel" a stative verb in every sense ?
Can we write "I am (not) feeling like talking to her" ?

That sentence doesn't sound good to me even though the progressive "feeling" is sometimes used, usually for short-lived sensations. However, there are exceptions, as is evident from a well-known song I was feeling insecure You might not love me anymore I was shivering inside (John Lennon; Jealous guy)
