"Feel"...

Dear All,

If I want to express that in a situation, I feel that I am very small, do I say “I feel myself very small” or “I feel very small”? Could you tell me, please? Thank you Emotion: smile

MM's response is correct, of course. But when I first read your post, I had the feeling you were talking about a more figurative use of the word rather than the physical description. I was prepared to answer with insignificant, meaning that you felt you were not very important in that place.

Thank you very much, Mister Micawber and Philip!

Philip, you were right! So will “I felt very small” be always understood as “I felt physically small”? Do I have to use “insignificant” (or something similar) to convey the figurative meaning?

Not necessarily. Context works wonders!
