Feedback via lab tests

Hi

Good information about natural healing is not enough.
You need an inner attitude of strength and self-confidence,
a kind of inner knowing. Some people gain the most confidence
by studying the research, others by feedback via lab tests,
still others by learning to self-test with applied
kinesiology (muscle testing).

Does it mean they read/hear about the results of the tests performed in the labs? In what way is it different from "studying the research"?

Maybe it means that they are performing the research themselves or are having tests done on themselves, as opposed to studying written articles.
