Could you please tell me if the start of my essay on the following topic is OK? Any suggestion is welcome.
To what extent is formal education effective?
Education whether formal or informal has positive effects on us. Mother’s lap, although a small, informal institute, has a remarkable impact on the child – his real upbringing starts there only and most of the time moulds the way s/he is to follow for the rest of his life.
When a child enters a school and his formal education begins, he is exposed to a life which would never have been possible otherwise. Meeting strangers and making friends out of them, learning to deal with intractable people and difficult situations, facing challenges, and above all befriending the tough discipline are some of the many beautiful aspects of a life that only formal education can offer.
