An increasing number of professionals, such as doctors and teachers, are leaving their own poorer countries to work in developed countries. What problems does this cause? What can be done to deal with this situation?

It is observed that a number of working professionals (such as doctors and teachers) tend to leave their native countries because of economic problems to work in countries which are financially stable. This essay will discuss the main issues caused by such immigration including struggle in development and lack of employees in domains of education and medicine. This essay will also suggest solutions such as offering incentives and better living conditions.

If people will move to a foreign country due to being offered a better lifestyle, the poorer countries may experience hardships to cope up with such shortage of professionals. This may cause a burden on healthcare and education domain due to increase in ratio of one doctor to patients or one teacher to students respectively. For instance, in situations like pandemic when the country is in dire need of medical professionals, there absence will lead to problems like excessive burden on doctors. Hence, it will be significantly difficult in absence of essential workforce in case of underdeveloped nations.

Government can offer propositions which can be beneficial to everyone thus, encouraging stay in their home countries. Additionally, efforts need to be made in order to increase the standard of living. If better salaries are offered along with amenities which are also offered abroad this will motivate individuals to not leave. Secondly, if governing authorities invest more towards policies which will boost economy, it will indirectly promote growth in better lifestyle. For example, teachers are usually underpaid and there is lack of latest technologies used. As a result, making such necessary changes will encourage stay back in large number of individuals.

In conclusion, more and more people express the need to leave their underdeveloped country and work in rich nations. This essay discussed how professionals moving abroad will hinder the country’s growth and may cause strain on existing employees. This essay also suggested also suggested that the solution to this problem is raising salaries and improving the current living situation.
