Is this sentence hanging or incomplete?

After losing a memory from an accident, Tan tries to find his identity. He doubts himself who he was and where his family is. Eventually, he found something that led him back to his home sweet home.

I feel a memory sounds odd there as we refer to the victim's memory and not a separate thing.

'In an accident' sounds more idiomatic to me.
