fee vs. fees

Hi.

When am I supposed to use "fee" instead of "fees", or the other way around?

For example - "membership renewal fee(s)"

"How much is the renewal fee?" or "How much are the renewal fees?"

Thanks!

  • I would use 'fee' for all the above.
  • 'Fees' at a school or college are the regular payments you make for your course or instruction.
