FCE / upper int books

Hi
I am going to start english courses soon. I will be in the FCE class but I will not pass the exam. As the teacher said to me that FCE course is a bit higher than Upper intermediaire course.
FCE class will work on : FC Masterclass Oxford book
Upper intermediate class will work on : Cutting Edge upper-int 3th edition
I am still hesitating. Which book has the higher level?
I would like to improve my level as much as possible (vocabulary, speaking,...).
Thank you for your help

You can always check on the publisher's website on the textbooks' correlation with the exams. Pearson's website indicated that Cutting Edge Upper Intermediate is in fact at FCE. So I guess it's a matter of choice which works better for you.
