I wouldn't hesitate to use 'fax' as a verb, so option 2 is my preferred. Also, I believe you can even drop the 'to' and make it : 'Could you fax us september's invoice'. Let's wait and see what everybody else has to say about this...

PHILIPKA1. Fax is both a noun and a verb.
I would accept both sentences -- that is, the use of "fax" as a noun and as a verb -- as correct. In the first case, however, the expression tends to be "by fax": e.g. "send it by fax".
