Favouriteness

Is there any such word as "favouriteness" as in "Chocolate, vanilla and butterscotch are the top three flavors in the order of my favouriteness" ?

Top answer

Yes and no. There is no recognised word 'favouriteness' and 'favourite' has the abstract noun 'favour', but the prefix 'ness' is a productive one and can be used freely to create words for the moment- so it would be a good idea to show this by using inverted commas and perhaps a hyphen: 'favourite-ness'.
