Favorite dish or dishes?

Hi,

When it comes to someone's favourtie items, are we talking about only one item, or it can be more than one? Can we say, "my favourite food are pizza and subs?" Or, it can be only one? Is there any other ways to say your favourite things? Do we say," my most favourite dish at the cafeteria is spicy Thai fried rice."

Thanks,

Ryan
