Faulty use of case...

Is there a faulty use of the pronon here?
Of all the students you've taught, who stands out?

Thanks!

Me either...

Is it that i have 4 sentences, that seems all fine, but one demonstrates a faulty use of case.

a) Of all the students you've taught, who is your favorite?
b)Of all the students you've taught, who stands out?
c) Of all the students you've taught, who has the best chance of suceeddding
d) Od all the srudents you've taught, who do you like the best.

Hi,

I'd say d) is probably wrong because "who" is no longer the subject, as it was in the first three. "You" is the subject, "like" is the verb, and "whom" is the object.

Best wishes, A.

Oh, nicely done.

The fact is, "whom" is so rarely used unless a preposition comes before it that it seems just fine to say "who." So I just glossed right over it.
