Faulty possessives

These are the two sentences in which this question is about:

"During every educational journey, there are going to be numberous ways to learn presented. It is an individuals responsibility to determine which method works best."

The green highlighted pieces are what my teacher has returned back to me labeld as faulty possessive, which are a serious error. I understand I should KNOW this. BUT here I am. Lacking complete understanding. I THINK in the first sentence perhaps I should have went on to list a few examples of the ways there are to learn. But the word individuals I am just simply stuck at. What is wrong with that word?

PLEASE just helpful comments as there is no need to bash anyone for question when they are simply trying to better their writing habbits and mistakes. PLEASE AND THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO HELPS! GREATLY APPRECIATED.
