Fatherless family

I want to say she hoped to reach her hometown with all the alive members of her family.
Is it right?
Her hope was to reach the hometown with the same fatherless family.

shininggirl Her hope was to reach the hometown with the same fatherless family. That sentence is fine, but it says nothing about 'all the living members'.

But "The same fatherless family" means "the very family with its members" doesn't it imply that?

No, does not say that the rest of the family is living; other members could have died; we don't even know whether you are talking about a nuclear family. You have not supplied any context beyond the sentence.

It has a long context. But in the context it is mentioned that her father has killed and she is living with her mother and brother.
Can it be true now? Or you still prefer to say it in another way? any suggestion?
Thanks

shininggirlHer hope was to reach the hometown with the same fatherless family.
As I said in the beginning, that sentence is fine. What I said is that it did not necessarily mean this:
shininggirlshe hoped to reach her hometown with all the alive members of her family.
That is still true.
