Fast/quick/rapid

Hi,
Can I use 'quick' and 'rapid' instead of 'fast' in the sentence #1, 2 and 3?
1.The subway is the fastest/quickest/rapidest way to get downtown.
2.The company must give a faster/quicker/rapider response to clients' requests.
3.The rainforests are being chopped down at an alarmingly fast/quick/rapid rate.

Can I use 'fast' and 'rapid' instead of 'quick' in the sentences below?
4.That was quick/fast/rapid! I thought you'd be another hour.
5.It's probably quicker/faster/rapider by train.
6.Have we got time for a quick/fast/rapid drink?
7.We stopped to have a quick/fast/rapid look at the church.
8.I had to make a quick/fast/rapid decision.
9.We've put the house on the market and we're hoping for a quick/fast/rapid sale.
10.We need a quick/fast/rapid response from the government.
11.Robertson's quick/fast/rapid thinking had saved the little girl's life.

What's the difference in meaning between quick, fast and rapid in all the sentences here?

Note the forms: rapid, more rapid, most rapid Your three words are essentially interchangeable. In # 6 and #7, however, 'rapid' doesn't sound natural to me.

Could you please explain the meaning of 'quick thinking' in "Robertson's quick thinking had saved the little girl's life."?
Is there any subtle difference in meaning between them in those sentences?

Quick thinking is almost a fixed phrase meaning 'no hesitation in making decisions.'
