fast forward VLC
VLC is a media player for PC, you might even have it, there is a fast forward button that fast forwards the movie 3 seconds.
How would you say this please? Is the word fast forward, when you click the button and it takes you from EX 1:33.33 seconds to 1:33.36 seconds.
My media player on my computer has a fast forward button that when you click it fast forwards the movie 3 seconds.

If the video is displayed rapidly during the three seconds, fast-forward is good. If it goes directly to the later time, I would say it skips ahead: "My media player on my computer has a fast-forward button that when you click it, it skips ahead three seconds."
