Fashion- single paragraph

Hi.

Is the give response to the following question natural? Any improvements are welcome. Thanks.

Are you interested in fashion and designer clothes?

Well, I may sometimes follow some cultural or intellectual fashions; however, I can certainly say that I'm not a fashion victim. I mean I never try to keep pace with the latest fashions as soon as they are introduced. In my opinion, fashion can be a spice of life, even though we must be careful not to be a slave to fashion companies.
