Our family planned to take a trip to Nantou. We set out in the early hour for fear that we might be stuck in the traffic. Luckily the journey was smooth. Passing native forests, through towering gorges, we finally ascended to our first destination, Hehuan Mountain. Its altitude is 3,275 meters above sea level, so the temperature there was rather low. However, we immersed ourselves in the fresh air and the scenic wild greenery. The peak of the mountain was capped with accumulated snow. Entering into the mountain, there comes into sight the stretch of pure white snow, shining on the peak. We stayed at a guesthouse for the night. It was a three-story wooden building with far-reaching eyesight.
