Farsighted

which would you say

Farsighted means that you are able to see things that are far away/things that are afar and not close up.

Top answer

When you are far-sighted, you have trouble seeing things close up. Some people are both near-sighed and far-sighted, so you can't say that are able to see things far away. I wear contact lenses for my near-sightedness (to help me see what is far away) but after a long day, I sometimes will wear reading glasses for my growing far-sightedness.

I would probably never use "from afar" - it sounds very old-fashioned.

I would say thing that are far away.
