Farm out/ technical problem

Hi,

"The judge used to farm out most of his work to his assistant."

Would 'farm out' work in this case? I heard a native speaker use it in a similar way.

I'm very sorry to bother you with this, but I seem to have a technical problem. I cannot access my old posts and it almost looks like they have disappeared. When I type in the keywords I used in some of the posts, nothing comes out. It might just be a glitch in the system that will soon pass, but I am not sure.

Could you tell me what I should do?

Thank you.

You can use 'farm out' in this sense - it's commonly used and understood although I wouldn't say it's very formal. I'll not classify this as an answer as I'm unable to comment on the technical issue and you'll need someone else's input there!
