Is the use of far too above correct here?

I'd say, "No, he is too far above that" or simply "No, he is above that" or "No, he is far above that."

The original seems very odd to me, Tom. I'd go with ferdis's 3rd option.

Mr. TomIs the use of far too above correct here?It's weird, but I wouldn't say it's wrong. It's one of those where "you had to be there". In other words, in the right circumstances it might sound fine, but staring coldly at us on paper, it doesn't seem normal somehow.
