Far

A. She is far from cooking dinner, she doesn't even know how to make a tea. Is this sentence correct with 'far'?
B. Almost every plan is a good plan as far as it goes. Is it a correct sentence and does it make sense?
C. He went as far as to say that I was a liar. Does this sentence mean he said to me a liar?
D. The new legislation is welcome bit doesn't go far enough. Does it mean the new legislation will not last or what?
