Fancy that

? “The baby she brought home was the wrong one.” “Fancy that!” [=imagine that]

Americans don't say "Fancy that," do they? But do they know what the phrase means?

Hi, HUBLOT But do they know what the phrase means? It's chiefly British English, but it is still English. I believe most native speakers would understand its meaning regardless of the variety of English they use.
