It's difficult to catch the intent here. Is it this:

Marriage will keep rolling along, even as mutual fancy diminishes.

I think I shouldn't use inversion because of the following sentence:

Once when feeble mutual fancy diminishes/disappears, the marriage wil keep rolling. Inside, you will pout and growl, but from the outside you will try to make at least some kind of appearance.

Do you mean:

"Once, when the last trace of feeble, mutual fancy will finally disappear, the marriage will keep rolling anyway." ?

If yes, maybe the natives can make better suggestions...

My suggestion would be:

Once fleeting physical attraction diminishes, the marriage will keep rolling. Internally, you will pout and growl, but externally you will at least try to keep up appearances.

Actually, the word that I translated as fancy (in Croatian simpatija) would literally mean liking, not necessarily only phisical attraction. Thank you all.
