'Family Awaiting'

I am preparing my wedding invitation card. We have a tradition of writing names of some family members who'd welcome the guests. I was wondering if if it okay to refer them as 'family awaiting' ? They'll actually be waiting for the guests to welcome them.

Anonymous I was wondering if if it okay to refer them as 'family awaiting' ? That sounds to me like they are bored or impatient, but who's to argue with tradition? I suppose your guests will understand your culture.

This doesn't express what you mean, clearly. You could write: family members (or, the names of the particular relatives who will welcome your guests) will be waiting to welcome you.
