Hello,
I am writing a summary which tells about a family. The story is mostly about 4 children and their parents.
Should I say :

1. (I have already mentioned the children) The children's dad is very poor...
2. The dad decides to...
3. Since the/- children's father is unemployed, the children decide to help the family.
4. The parents are away so uncle Tom comes to spend time with the children.
5. A stranger informs the family that...
5. The girls decide to help the family...(i am talking about the daughters)
6. As the children are very naughty, the/ - mum is very anxious...

I would say: Because her children are very naughty, their mother is very anxious.

The rest seem fine.
