Fall 2011

b) "The class will be offered (in) Fall 2011."
Supposed "Fall 2011" refers to a school term, could "in" be optional?

Hi, I'd say 'The claass will b offered in the Fall term'. 2011 will be assumed. You could also say it will be offered 'this Fall'.

So,

"The class will be offered in Fall 2011." is correct, and

"The class will be offered Fall 2011." is wrong because "in" is mandatory?

Hi,

So,

"The class will be offered in Fall 2011." is correct, No, I didn't say that.

and

"The class will be offered Fall 2011." is wrong because "in" is mandatory?

The problem is that if you say 'Fall 2011' to someone, it doesn't
