Fake + ing

Could I ask a question about this topic?


The toddler wanted me to take his temperature using a non touch forehead thermometer. Since it had run out of battery and didn’t want him to cry, I faked taking his fever.


Is it natural to say:


I faked taking his fever.



Which is correct?

He was faking/faked being paralyzed.



Is this correct?

He faked a laugh/faked laughing so he could make her feel go about the joke she’s had just said.
