Faith

Hello.
What do we say when a religious decree requires that someone does something?

He had to do sth?
Or he felt obliged to do sth?
Or something else?

Top answer

'Felt obliged' is a feeling from inside, so that does not seem right. However, I'm not sure what you mean by 'religious decree'—is it a part of one's faith, or is it a demand of the church organization?
