fairytale beginning

Dear Teachers, Could you please check the below sentences for correction?

New chapter, new hopes. Hoping for a fairytale beginning of life.

Top answer

The wording of the second sentence does not feel completely right to me. To confidently suggest an alternative I would need to know more about the context, but perhaps "Hoping for a fairytale beginning to a new life" might be better. I am assuming that the abbreviated style is intentional,.

Yes, I want to know the exact meaning of 'fairytale'. Thanks.

In this case "fairytale" means something like "magically perfect or lovely" (as in a fairy tale, where, for example, everyone traditionally "lives happily ever after").

A "beginning to a new life" probably refers to a major change in the circumstances of someone's life (e.g. getting married and moving to another country).

Thanks for your reply, GPY.
I wanna know more something.
"Hoping", is it gerund?

It's just short for "I am hoping..."

Like "wishing you all the best" or "looking forward to our vacation."

You have to mentally put the "I am" in the sentence.

Please don't use "wanna" -- we may speak that way, but we should not write that way.
