Faint color

What is the opposite of a 'faint color'?

We can have dark/deep blue, and we can have light blue. But even a dark blue can be pale/faint, right?

Imagine a dark blue that is seen in foggy weather. You can barely see it and yet you know that it is dark blue.

What would be the opposite of pale/faint in that context?

Would bright blue work? Can we have a bright dark blue?

Gratefully,

Navi.
