Failure of/in/on/with

I guess "failure to" before verbs, such as "failure to do something".

What about "failure" before nouns? What preposition should be used?

For example:

in case of failure with/of/in/on the applications

in the event of failure with/of/in/on the project

healer What about "failure" before nouns? What preposition should be used? Most of the time it's "of", but "in" is also used: failure of building materials / failure of leadership / failure of capitalism failure in war / failure in design / failure in military occupation healer in case of failure with/of/in/on the applications in the event of failure with/of/in/on the project I believe I'd use "in" in these examples.

  • "of" is also OK.
  • "failure on the project" sounds all right, too.
