Does it mean "looking for a perfect result and thus feel tiresome and walk off"?
Well, it looks a mess to me.

You have to understand the rules of baseball. The game proceeds by innings, nine in regulation play. Each inning has two halves. The first half is called the top half, and during it the visiting team plays offense, and the home team plays defense. In the bottom half, they switch. This gives the home team an advantage, because they have the last chance to score and go ahead before the game ends and a winner is declared.

Each half-inning normally ends once three offensive players have been put out by any of various means—they failed at bat, they were tagged with the ball while not on a base, etc. The final half-inning is an exception (do you see it yet?). If the home team's score becomes greater than the visitors' score during the bottom of the ninth inning, the game ends then and there, regardless of the number of outs and even if the ball is still in play, because there will be no opportunity for the visitors to come back. Everybody just walks off the field.
