factor out

Hi,

Can we use 'factor out' in this case?

'Nancy did badly on the math test; she got all the roundings wrong- even if she got the roundings right, most of her calculations were incorrect. I can't give her a passing grade.'

=> Even factor out her mistakes in rounding, because she got too many errors in calculation ,I can't give her a passing grade,.

Barb, from beginning to end:

Even factoring out her mistakes in rounding, because she got too many errors in her calculations, I can't give her a passing grade.

Calculations are plural, I added the "her," and fixed up the spacing with the punctuation. (No space before the punctuation.)
