Vocabulary

Facility [place or service, industrial or cultural] ?

I try to understand word "facility." Would you please help me understand it. Should "facility" be a place of "industry" in which "industrial actions" take place? Or a museum can be classified as a "facility" ?

What do you think about this definition?

Facility:A building or place that provides a particular service or is used for a particular industry

"the assembly plant is an enormous facility"

And the synonym is "installation."
