fabulous food

Hello everyone,

I came across this sentence, "He took a bite of the meat, chewed it, savored it and said 'It is fantastic'"

I wonder whether I could say the food is fabulous. Do you say it that way?

Thank you!

Hello AY

Yes, you can describe food as "fabulous", e.g.

1. I went to that new Italian restaurant in Soho last night. The food was fabulous!

2. What a fabulous soufflé!

(However, it would seem a little gushing and excessive to many people.)
