"My sister emanates or exudes positive energy." Which word is more appropriate?

Hmm. I would have chosen 'emanates'. Here are the associations I have for these verbs.

exude - ooze (out), secrete
emanate - radiate, give forth

In other words, 'exude' sounds too gooey for me!
