Many species of animals and plants are in danger of becoming extinct. What are the causes of this problem, and what can be done to prevent it from happening?
It is very sad to argue that nowadays may turn to be the last days when we can see certain animals and plants because they are on the verge of extinction. It is even more sad that often humandkind stand careless seeing some species of wild nature disappearing. It is not how people are allowed to behave in that situation.
The most serious problem that causes the rise in extinction of species of animals and plants is the worsening state of the environment. Dirty air and water resorces affect the wild nature as much as some animals and birds can not survive. Because of the irresponsibility demonstarated by large companies and sometimes even by governments some habitats have become unsuitable for living. So it shows a good example of how nature is being killed by a human-being.
Another cause of extinction of many animals and plants is growth of city areas. In general, today there is a raising trend for populations of big cities. As new people coming to a city, the demand for living places is growing. So building new houses is evitable for satisfying this demand. Another reason for the increase of construction sites in the cities is building new shopping malls. To find territories for those buildings governments have to cut down woods in the areas in or near the cities. Not only timber is hurt in this situation. Birds and animals become homeless. Some of them seek another places for living. Some die. Citizens of cities do not win as well as the pollution of the air is growing without forests.
Generally speaking, many measures must be taken to prevent the catastrophic consequences for the extincting species of animals and plants. Humankind has to start work on this right today but the thing a human must begin with is to change something in his mind and treat the environment the way he wants to be treated himself.
